Day 46 (Sun)

1. Another good lecture on ethics at church this morning.
2. Another good class in Christianity's Family Tree.
3. This afternoon one of my customers, in attempting to ask for lemon-pepper chicken, asked for leper chicken. Not only is this great on its own, but it ties in with this morning's sermon, and what could be cooler than that?
4. A batch of Jarlsburg dip was prepared this afternoon. This glorious event requires extensive "testing" by all personnel in the deli and surrounding departments, purely for quality control purposes, of course. Note: this dip is waayyy too expensive to actually be purchased by most Anderson's employees.
5. It's day one of the CAF Snap Pea Challenge.

4. The house was relatively tidy when I got home.
5. Kat tracked down the book she needs for her class, "This Class Sucks."

Day 44 (Fri)

1. This post on Emilia's blog brought back memories of when Frank was in first grade and signed all his papers "Boy 412," from his favorite book, Magyk.
2. This.
3. Yet another day of hanging out at the playground.
4. We found celery seeds at Home Depot, so there's another type of plant for me to kill.
5. We should be about finished with the tedious ads for the newest "Friday the 13th" movie.

Day 43 (Thur)

1. It's Thursday, and I've just always really liked Thursdays.
2. The phrase, "Ultraviolent zombie mayhem!" keeps sliding through my consciousness.
3. Summer, Highland Falls by Billy Joel.
4. This.
5. Yummy burritos for dinner.

Day 42 (Wed)

1. I -I mean Greg- got a really good evaluation on the grizzly bear project.
2. This.
3. Ghost Hunters is on tonight.
4. Whose Line is it Anyway is on tonight.
5. I will be starting seeds before too long.

Day 41 (Tuesday)

1. This.
2. Miraculously, I didn't have to buy groceries today.
3. "Lost" by Coldplay.
4. No meeting tonight.
5. No meeting means no minutes to type up.

Day 40 (Monday)

1. On Rieber, just north of the school, there is a snowman that has turned into an Easter egg. At least it had this morning; it's probably disappeared by now.
2. This video.
3. We got to hang out on the playground today.
4. I learned of the existence of this book.
5. I don't work again until Saturday.

Day 39

1. Really good lecture on Bioethics in church this morning.
2. Jeff taught the Sunday school class so I could attend lecture on Bioethics.
3. This video.

4. Work went fast.
5. I'm going to bed at a decent hour.

Day 38

1. Working an early shift means there is still some Saturday left to enjoy when I get off work.
2. I was very impressed with the tunnel Gregory constructed while I was at work. Even though I know that some really muddy clothes will be waiting for me the next time I go to the laundry room. I wonder how long I can put this off.
3. I remembered to buy rabbit food and eggs while I was out, items I have been managing to space off everytime I've left the house in the last three days.
4. Buying eggs allowed me to bake cookies today.
5. Baking cookies allowed us to eat warm fresh cookies. Mmmmm, snickerdoodles.

Day 37

1. The note I mentioned in my previous post is now prominently displayed in the deli's kitchen.
2. Brandy, another of my esteemed coworkers, has agreed to trade shifts with me for next week, which makes my life just a little less complicated. Brandy, you rock!
3.

4. Finally finished a couple of annoying tasks I've been trying to get to all week.
5. I'm going to bed soon.

Day 36

1. There is a snowman on North Street and Evening Street that has one arm curved gracefully over its head. It appears to be a dancer, a tough image to convey in this medium.
2. The last time I worked, my coworker, Pat, was filling a bowl with a pasta salad when she found the salad smelled a bit "off," so she said she was just going to leave the salad in the cooler with a note saying that she didn't think the salad was any good. I responded by quoting Green Eggs and Ham. Here is the message Pat ended up leaving on the salad container.
"I would not eat it in a box,
I would not eat it with a fox.
I would not eat it in the rain.
I would not eat it on a train.
I would not eat it on a mat.
I would not eat it!
Signed, Pat."

3. I talked to a friend I hadn't heard from in a while.

4

5. Greg's project is done. I don't remember being this tired, or relieved, when I finished my Master's thesis. Of course, I was twenty years youger then.

Food Waste Reduction Challenge - February 2009 I'm really only doing this because I love putting these graphics into my posts.

Day 35

1. Spent the whole day folding laundry while watching the "Ghost Hunters" marathon I recorded on Sunday.
2. Here's a comic for all you aspiring homesteaders out there.
3. On Downs, just south of Caren, there's a fantastic snow man with about fifty fingers on his right hand. I wish I had a way to post a picture.
4. Our cat Toonces was batting a milk ring back and forth under the basement door the whole time I was fixing dinner. Usually, he wants someone to play this with him, but today he was doing it himself.
5. I just got the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter from the library. The series Dexter came from this novel. I can't wait to read it.

Day 34

1. This comic.
2. Another committee meeting is behind me. Maybe THIS will be the month I get the minutes submitted before I have to be hounded about it. It could happen.
3. I'm wearing my $3 sweater.
4. The back of the collar of my sweater is pulled up over my head.
5. I didn't think I'd have a chance to get groceries today, but I did, so I don't have to worry about it tomorrow.

Day 33

1. When I woke up this morning, the bedroom was the perfect temperature and the bed was all comfy, and I was able to delay getting out of bed for a little while to enjoy it.
2. I made a perfect loaf of bread today.
3. I love today's Musical Monday video, even if Nathan Fillion isn't in this particular clip.
4. This line from the video. "Underthings. Tumbling." Poetry, no?
5. Finding out from my coworkers that yesterday, while I was doing nothing in particular, the store really was crazy, obscenely busy.

Day 32

1. This cake.
2. Pointless, aimless shopping excursions.
3. $3 cotton sweater from a thrift store.
4. Chinese buffet for lunch.
5. Not having to work at the insanely busy deli on the day of the superbowl-priceless.

Day 31

1. I don't work today-or tomorrow.
2. I enjoyed the pinewood derby.
3. I got to hang out with Heather and Emilia at said derby.
4. I really like the idea of planning my own car for next year.
5. I love that when I said, "It's the age old question. Style? or substance?" Heather totally knew to put her finger on her chin and say, "Hmmm." Katherine also recognizes this as, "awesome," the highest rating you can get from a fifteen year old.

Day 30

1. Flood lights or christmas lights under a layer of snow.
2. Peanut M&Ms. Not that I have a stash in my nightstand or anything.
3. This.
4. There's a new snl tomorrow.
5. I'm going to go watch "Who's Line."
